Diego Loret de Mola was born and raised in Lima Peru, moving to the USA in 1985. He is a successful professional with over 25 years of experience in international and domestic markets. Although he spent his first 10 years in the financial industry, trading non-ferrous metals worldwide, he found his true calling in 2000, when he joined the liquor industry as a director of BevMax in Stamford CT.

Today, he is a very passionate producer, educator and the ultimate promoter of Peruvian Pisco in the world. Single handedly, he spearheaded the revival of the Pisco Category in the US in the early 2000’s, through a restless ambassador journey that he undertook to educate the trade at all levels. In 2002, he led an investment group to acquire Bodega San Isidro, a pisco distillery that dates back to the 1800’s, which had been closed as a result of the Peruvian military government agricultural reform. Once revamped, it has been producing BarSol pisco.
